Ivy Options has recently received accreditation as a testing center for the University of Waterloo’s prestigious and globally recognized computer programming and math competitions for high school students in grades 9-11. Interested participants must register by the February 1 deadline.

Once signed up, students will receive materials and coaching from an Ivy Options counselor. All tests will be taken on computers – similar to the SAT format – at our Al Barsha office.

The Canadian Computing Competition, Feb. 22, is open to high school students with or without programming experience. Participants will expand their ability to design, understand, and implement algorithms. Approximately 20 of the top participants from the Senior level of the CCC will be invited to the Canadian Computing Olympiad at the University of Waterloo. The test is comprised of five questions and lasts three hours. Registration cost is AED300 per student.

The Pascal, Cayley and Fermat Competition, Feb. 29, explores the potential of mathematics. The 25 multiple-choice questions test logical thinking and problem-solving. Participants are allotted 60 minutes with some calculators permitted. Registration cost is AED250 per student.
